2005 - Eloquium Award: Third Year

The starting point for the third Boehringer Ingelheim Communication Award Eloquium, presented for 2005, was set on 17 November 2004 in conjunction with the World COPD Day 2004. Submissions for the award were accepted till 23 September 2005.

The 2005 Eloquium award received 69 entries from 17 countries.

Winning entries 2005

The winners of the third Boehringer Ingelheim COPD Communication Award Eloquium were announced on 16 November 2005 in conjunction with the World COPD Day 2005.

The three winning entries of the Eloquium Award 2005 were:

1st: Rosalina Grilo, Portugal, Saúde Pública, More than 600,000 Portuguese people suffer from COPD
2nd: Michael Baggeler, Germany, Neue Welt, When air is in short supply, give the lungs a chance to breathe deeply again
3rd: Riwa Al-Atrash, Lebanon, Future TV, Alam Al-Sabah, Sohtak Segment, Overviews on COPD

The finalists of the Eloquium Award 2005 were:

Dragutin Gregoric, Serbia/MonteNegro, VIVA, Warnings nobody listens to Aziza Fouad, Egypt, Nisf El Donia, 90% of COPD patients are smokers Mohammad Ghazal, Jordan, The Jordan Times, COPD takes heavy toll on sufferers

 

World COPD Day 2005

The World COPD Day took place on 16 November 2005. In conjunction with the World COPD Day the prize winners of the third Boehringer Ingelheim Communication Award Eloquium were announced.
