Eloquium - COPD Communication Award
Medicine and media join forces against COPD
The Boehringer Ingelheim COPD Communication Award Eloquium is an initiative to recognise journalism and media that extend public awareness and understanding of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is now in its fourth year since its launch in 2002.

Eloquium is open to journalists from all media: print, broadcast or online. The award presents a unique opportunity to demonstrate responsible, informative and educative journalism.

Deadline for the submission of entries for the 2006 Eloquium Award will be on 22 September 2006. Entries are accepted on all topics related to COPD, such as: 
  • COPD prevalence
  • The socio-economic burden of COPD
  • Symptoms of COPD 
  • Diagnosing COPD
  • Living with COPD
  • Pharmacological treatments for COPD
  • COPD and its complications (e.g. exacerbations) 
  • COPD prevention
