TRAVEL TIPS LUGGAGE

Luggage is sometimes lost or arrives long after you do.

To avoid problems, some people travel light and carry

on everything. At the very least, take one complete

change of clothing, basic grooming items, and any regular

medication aboard with you. Because airlines will not

replace valuable jewelry when paying for lost luggage, it

should be carried on your person. Safer yet, select one set

of basic, simple jewelry that can be worn everywhere—

even in the shower—and wear it during your whole trip.

Remember, carry-on bags must be small enough to fit in

overhead bins or to slide under your seat.

TRAVEL TIPS

There are many theories on how to survive jet lag—

the adjustment to a long trip into a different time

zone. Some multinational corporations take jet lag so

seriously that they do not allow employees to make

business decisions on the first day abroad. Most

experts agree on several techniques: Eat lightly for

several days before departing, avoid dehydration

while flying by drinking plenty of nonalcoholic

liquids; take frequent strolls around the plane to

keep your blood circulating; if possible, get some

rest on the flight; use ear plugs, an eye mask, and

an inflatable neck collar to make sleep easier. If you

arrive early in the morning, take an after-lunch nap,

get up for some exercise and dinner, then go to

bed at the regular new time. If you arrive at your

destination in the afternoon or later, skip the nap

and try to sleep late the next morning. In countries

where massage or saunas are standard hotel service,

indulge yourself on the evening of arrival to help you

sleep soundly that night

Do you think that living an "examined life" has value? Can a person live a life that is valuable or rewarding without engaging in self-examination? Please explain your answer.

An examined life is the most valuable thing, life is the most valuable "posession" we have. It is limited  ( in time) if you understand yourself and your own values you will be able to live a life according to those values.

According to Nietzche there is more intelligence in your body than in your best wisdom.

if we really get to understand ourselves better we can truly become what we are.

Intro self knowledge

Hello I am from Mexico, Aguascalientes ;México, currently I am mainly focused in philosophy, and also Yoga, my main job is at a corporation, at the office,

The reason I am taking this course is because I think that the most importat kind of knowledge we can attain is the self knowledge.

If we have enoough knowledge about yourself , we will be able to make sounder desicions.

my favorite philosophers are Nietzche and Arthur Schopenhauer.

Nice meeting you all

proportion of women that are my type.

Talking about physical experience, I am not that demanding. In fact, not demanding at all. The reason is that I like every other woman. A proportion of 50 percent.

A dark spin-off from Toshimichi

Suzuki's BUBBLEGUM CRISIS, AD Police

concentrates on the AD (vanced) antirobot crime division of Mega Tokyo's

police force. Leon McNicol, a minor

character in the original series, is part

nered here with butch lady-cop Gena

in several investigations that play with

ideas of humanity i n a high-tech soci

ety. The "voomer" robots here are all

female i n the man 's world of the ADP,

where only women who are prepared

to become one with machines stand a

chance in it. Whereas this device was

used in Bubblegum Crisis as an excuse

for girls with impressive h igh-tech kits,

here it is far more misogynistic, as

femininity is gradually eroded by bion

ics and prosthetics, taking characte rs'

humanity with it. A businesswoman,

for example, is only successful in the

boardroom after she has a hysterec

tomy, but the trauma turns her into a

serial killer. There are shades of Blade

Runner in the sex-android stalker that

locks onto the man who i njured her,

and there are also blatant steals from

Robocop in the final chapter, wherein

one of Gena's ex-boyfriends receives so

much augmentation that his tongue is

the only part of his original body that

renlains.

Canceled after j ust three of the

planned five episodes, the franchise

was not revived until 1 999, in the wake

of the Bubblegum Crisis 2040 remake, as

a 1 2-part lV Tokyo series directed by

Hidehito Ueda. The new AD Police was

a far shallower affair, ditching many of

the old characters in favor of a buddy

movie cliche between rapid-response

robot-crime cop Takeru Sasaki and his

new partner, Hans Krier. Clearly made

with half an eye on the overseas market

(all the other leads have foreign names

like Paul Sanders, Liam Fletcher,

and Nancy Wilson ) , the melting-pot

remake is something of a disappoin t

ment.

The franchise was briefly resurrect

ed in Parasite Dolls ( 2003 ) , a th ree-part

video series directed by Kazuto Naka

zawa, focusing on a clandestine branch

of the AD Police, called, somewhat

unimaginatively, Branch. The story

fOCllses on Buzz, an officer like writer

Chiaki Konaka's earlier Ross Sylibus in

ARMITAGE III, who is transferred to an

unattractive new posting and forced to

cooperate with a detested robot part

ner. Parasite Dolls also exists in a movie

length edit, which is the version most

commonly found outside Japan.
